The Sault Ste. Marie O.P.P. is investigating the theft of a snow machine from an Echo Bay residence sometime after midnight on March 15. The thief drove the sled from the rear yard. Missing is a red 2001 Polaris R600.

A two-vehicle collision near Echo Bay Co-op sent two people to hospital with minor injuries. A westbound mini van had stopped to make a left turn from Hwy 17 when it was struck in the rear by a westbound pick-up truck. The driver and passenger in the mini van were taken the hospital. The driver of the Ford pick-up, Richard Cadham, age 49, of Bar River was charged with following too close.
