Mississauga First Nation man faces multiple firearms charges

On Dec. 7, 2017, at approximately 5:25 a.m., members of the Mississauga First Nation Police Service (MFN) and the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call for service on Mississauga First Nation, Ont.

The complainant reported that a male had pointed a firearm at him after a verbal argument between both persons had taken place.

Brian Keith Marion, 45 years of age from Mississauga First Nation, Ont., was charged with:

  • Pointing a firearm, contrary to section 87 of the Criminal Code (CC),
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm, contrary to section 91(1) of the CC,
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order (eight counts), contrary to section 117.01(1) of the CC,
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, contrary to section 88 of the CC, and
  • Fail to comply with recognizance (four counts), contrary to section 145(3) of the CC.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River, Ont. on Dec. 7, 2017.
