Man charged after child's wagon was stolen

On Oct. 11, 2017, shortly before 3 p.m., members from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment responded to a theft of child's wagon from a residence on Walker Street in the Town of Thessalon. 

The next day on Oct. 12, 2017, the owner observed a male on Walker Street with her daughter's wooden wagon in tow. The description of the male and a possible first name were given to police. Police determined who the male was and located him on Oct. 17, 2017 where he was arrested. 

As a result of the investigation, Kyle Parnell, 32 years of age from Thessalon, Ont. was charged with: possession property obtained by crime under $5,000-in Canada, contrary to section 354 of the Criminal Code.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on Dec. 7, 2017.
