An investigation continues regarding a fatal collision that occurred shortly before 6 p.m. yesterday on Highway 17 near Wawa.
One person is confirmed dead as a result of the collision.
The crash involved a pickup truck and a commercial vehicle, says a news release issued by the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
Highway 17 near Highway 519 – approximately 40 kilometres north of Wawa – was closed for several hours Tuesday evening. The highway between Wawa and White River has since re-opened.
