Ontario Provincial Police are at the scene of a fatal motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 north of the city.
In a release issued shortly before 1 p.m., police said that the collision involved a tractor trailer and a motor vehicle in Batchawana Bay.
The driver of the motor vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The highway is currently closed between Aweres Township at the Ministry of Transportation weigh scales and Wawa.
The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
