A Goulais Township resident was killed this morning in a snowmobile crash, Ontario Provincial Police report.
OPP say they responded to a snowmobile collision at 9:30 a.m. near Dayton Road in Huron Shores Township.
Police report that the snowmobile crashed into a gate leading to private property.
Wade Kirby, 30, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This is the second snowmobile fatality reported in the area by OPP this week. The first incident, reported yesterday, took place on Sunday evening near Ranger Lake. A 40-year-old victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police have not released the name of the victim in this accident, as it is still under investigation.
