DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR KIDS ARE DOING?

Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to the Aweres Public School yesterday to speak to children about rocks being thrown and placed on Highway 17 in the Heyden area.

OPP were advised that a group of children near the Pioneer Trailer Park were causing danger to themselves and others. While the children were waiting for the bus, they would run out to the middle of the highway and pile rocks on the roadway.

They would wait for larger vehicle's to come and hopefully run the rocks over. This would scattering the rocks in all directions in what the children felt was an amusing situation.

A few of the children would also throw stones and rocks at the passing vehicles. Members of Sault Ste Marie OPP attended the school and spoke to the group involved.
