SERIOUS INJURY IN SNOW MACHINE COLLISION
Heyden, Ont.,

A nineteen year old Goulais River teen is in Sault and Area Hospitals after a snow machine collision.

At about 8:00 p.m. last night, nineteen-year-old Stephen Zayet was driving his snow machining on Lower Island Lake in Heyden. Due to another late winter storm in this area, there was heavy blowing snow that produced zero visibility on the lake.

Mr. Zayet lost his bearings and accidentally drove into a tree on the shore of the lake. He was transported to Sault and Area Hospitals where he was admitted to hospital with a broken leg and other unknown injuries.

The accident is still under investigation but police believe that no charges will be laid in this matter.
