A single vehicle roll over collision sent an eight year old Goulais River boy to hospital with minor injuries.

Yesterday at about 6:30 p.m. a pick up truck was headed up the Mile Hill, on Hwy 17 just north of Heyden. The driver lost control and slid off the highway and rolled over into the ditch.

Eight year old Stephen Burt was sent to Sault and Area Hospital by ambulance. He was treated for minor injuries. All three occupants of the vehicle were wearing their seat belts and police believe this saved all three occupants from serious injuries.

No charges were laid in the incident.


FIRE DESTROYS TRANSPORT TRUCK
Batchawana, Ont.,

Batchawana Fire and Rescue as well as Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to Hwy 17 Near Pancake Provincial Park where a transport truck had caught fire.
