ECHO BAY BREAK AND ENTER
Echo Bay, Ont.,

Sault Ste Marie OPP is investigating a break and enter to a home on Lake George Road in Echo Bay.

The owner of the home arrived at her house yesterday afternoon to discover that a window had been damaged. Closer examination by the owner revealed that sometime over the past 24 hours, thieves forcibly entered the home and stole electronic equipment and jewelry.

Jewelry is one of the more common items that are stolen by low-life criminals in their pursuit of underworld activities. Most of the jewelry they steal are family keepsakes that are handed down from generation to generation or are gifts from the heart to loved ones in the home.

Most property can be replaced, but because most jewelry is received from special people on very special occasions, most of the time the replacements just do not hold the significant meaning of the original piece. Help the police return that special meaning to a loved one's life by reporting any information to the OPP
