Driving through Blind River leads to traffic stop

A man from British Columbia was charged after being stopped by the Ontario Provincial Police in Blind River

BLIND RIVER - On November 10, 2016, members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on regular patrol duties on Causley Street in the Town of Blind River.

Shortly after 1:00 p.m., police observed an eastbound vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was initiated. Investigation revealed the driver was suspended.

As a result, Bradley MAZZOCATO, 26 years of age, from Nanaimo, British Columbia was charged with: Driving Under Licence of Other Jurisdiction While Suspended in Ontario, contrary to section 36 of the Highway Traffic Act.
