On Feb. 25, 2018 at approximately 12:20 a.m., the Sault Ste. Marie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 Laird Township, Ont.
As a result of further investigation, Adam Jesse Mitchell, age 37 of Macdonald-Meredith-Aberdeen-Additional Township, Ont. was arrested and charged with:
- Care or control of a motor vehicle while ability impaired by alcohol, contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC),
- Fail or refuse to provide sample, contrary to section 254(3) of the CC.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. on March 26, 2018.
