Domestic disturbance call leads to impaired charges for Thessalon resident

A call about a domestic disturbance in progress has resulted in impaired driving charges for a Thessalon resident.

OPP report that just after 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, police responded to a 911 call regarding a domestic disturbance within the Municipality of Huron Shores.

As a result of the investigation, the Thessalon resident was charged with operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs, operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), and two counts of failure to comply with release order.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on Aug. 13, 2020.
