Brand new snowmobile stolen from Blind River dealership

The snowmobile is believed to have been taken between January 4 and the early-morning hours of January 5

The Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the theft of a snowmobile from a dealership in Blind River this week.

The snowmobile was taken from NAPA Power Sports in Blind River sometime between Jan. 4 and the early morning hours of Jan. 5.

Police believe that the suspect(s) cut through a galvanized chain link compound at the dealership to take the snowmobile, which is a black 2023 Ski-Doo Expedition 850 ETEC that has an estimated value of $21,479.

The snowmobile is described as having black skis, a full body skid plate, scratches, heated visor kit, hitch, canvas cover tow kit, a drive belt and a large 115L cargo box Linq system.

Surveillance footage shows a pickup truck with an enclosed trailer seen in the area at approximately 12:50 a.m. on Jan. 5.
