Blind River teen accused of stabbing a 14-year-old

Police say the victim has been transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries

OPP are reporting a stabbing took place involving youth in Blind River last week.

Police say they responded to a report of a stabbing shortly after 12 p.m. on Friday. Officers say it took place the night prior on Chiblow St. in Blind River.

A press release issued today states a 14-year-old victim was stabbed and transported to a Sudbury hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

A 15-year-old was arrested at 4:25 p.m. on Friday and has been charged with aggravated assault.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on Dec. 10, 2020.

The investigation is continuing and more information will be released when available.
