THESSALON - On Feb. 3, 2020, members from the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the East Algoma Crime Unit, responded to a fraud occurrence at a residence on Dawson Street in the Town of Thessalon.
As a result of the investigation, Danielle Lafrance, 30 years of age, from Blind River, Ont. was arrested and charged with:
• Fraud under $5,000, contrary to section 380(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC);
• Use, deals, acts on forged document contrary to section 368(1)(a) of the CC - four counts; and with
• Theft under $5,000, contrary to section 334(b) of the CC.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on April 2, 2020.
