Two motorcyclists killed in separate crashes Saturday in Quebec

Two motorcyclists died in accidents on Saturday in Quebec.

One victim died in Franquelin, on Quebec's North Shore, after trying to turn from an off-road trail to a path leading to a sand pit and striking a chain that had blocked off the path on Saturday.

The young driver in his 20s died at the scene.

In the other incident, first responders were called to the scene of a collision between a motorcyclist and an apartment building in Potton, in the province's Eastern Township region.

Police say it appears the driver, also in his 20s, lost control at a T intersection.

The man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries where his death was pronounced during the evening.
