Richmond Hill man charged with indecent exposure after series of alleged incidents

RICHMOND HILL, Ont. — A 30-year-old man from Richmond Hill, Ont., is facing charges after police allege a man exposed himself in a series of incidents around the city.

York Regional police say a mother was in Alias Grace Park with her two young children during the morning of July 2, and a man approached them, pulled his pants down and exposed himself.

Police say they received three more reports of a suspect matching the description exposing himself to people in another area of the city.

Investigators released suspect photos over the weekend and they say they identified the man thanks to tips from the community.

Police searched a Richmond Hill home early Tuesday morning and arrested the suspect.

The man, whose identity police is not disclosing, was charged with five counts of indecent acts and one count of indecent exposure.

This report by The Canadian Press was first published July 5, 2022.
