One dead, one injured after ATV crash in Northumberland County on Saturday

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, Ont. — Ontario Provincial Police say they're investigating after an ATV rider died in a single-vehicle collision in Northumberland Country.

Police say the incident happened in Northumberland County around 5 p.m. on Saturday.

They say the ATV was turning onto a street when it left the road and crashed into a hydro pole.

Investigators say one of the riders was pronounced dead at the scene, while another was rushed to a Toronto hospital in serious condition.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld until police notify next of kin.

They say roads in the area were closed for several hours as officers examined the scene.
