BRACEBRIDGE, Ont. — A boil water advisory has been lifted for an Ontario cottage country town affected by a water main break.
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit says lab tests have confirmed the water in Bracebridge, Ont., is now safe to drink.
The order lifted Thursday had been issued Jan. 10.
The health unit says residents should run cold water for five minutes to ensure it’s running clean.
Larger users like restaurants, hospitals and schools may have to run water for longer to ensure it isn't cloudy.
People are also advised to replace water filters, drain water heaters, dispose of ice made after Jan. 10 and clean any appliances connected to the water.
