Peacefully at Extendicare Maple View on Saturday February 8, 2020 with his family by his side at the age of 88. Loving husband of Pina. Cherished father of Christine Zanini and Anthony Zanini. Loving Nono of Connor Zanini. Predeceased by his parents Antonio and Giovanina (nee Boschetto). Brother of Amelia Venturini (late John). Eugene will be missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, his moose hunting friends, his favourite uncle Tony Bertolussi and he will be sadly missed by his best friend of 65 plus years John Klingenberger (Maria). Family and friends are invited to visit at O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (215 St. James St. 705-759-8456) on Saturday February 15, 2020 from 11:00am until time of the service in the chapel at 1:00pm with Mr. Len Monico officiating. The family would like to thank the staff of Extendicare Maple View and the doctors and nurses of the Sault Area Hospital for the care given to Eugene. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Sault Area Hospital.
