Wilna Marie Wing (22 Jan 1932-19 Nov 2021) - We are so sad to announce the sudden passing of our mom Wilna Marie Wing, in her 90th year. She has gone to see the love of her life our father, Ernie. Their love for each other has been an inspiration to us all.

Left to Cherish her memory: son Richard "Rick" and wife Marlene, their children Seth (Tiffany), Riley, and Jocelyn (Jeremy Smith); son Michael "Mick" wife Beverly and their daughter Megan (Luke Barban); son Eric (Natalie Beltrano); daughter Carla, husband Sylvain Belanger and their children Tanner (Nicole Service) and Shannon (Hannah Ventimiglia).  Honorary Mom to Smitty and Janet.  Cherished too are her great grandchildren Nevin Wing; Ella, Paige and Myla and Ally Barban; Grace and Wyatt Wing.  Wilna was the eldest in a family of six girls of William "Bill" and Phemia Bryans. She leaves behind her Sisters Wanda (late Sam) Maquire; Carol (Roger) Forget;  Bessie (late Gerald) Murray; Betty Hunter, Sally (George) Brown.  Mom was the last surviving member of dad’s family, having been predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law; Harold (Eva), Harry (Dorothy), Gordon (Molly), Joseph (Betty); Rose (Mac) Mcgregor; Edit (Johnny) Millar; Ida (Bud) Colter; Alice (Charlie) Pinder and Agnes (Merle) Smith.  Ernie and Wilna had many friends in the area, were fun loving and avid campers, and loved the outdoors, dancing and family gatherings.

Mom was a wonderful woman.  She was our rock.  She managed the household and the family and got all of us down the right path.  She was practical, straight forward, and above all else thoughtful.  She always ensured we each knew how much we meant to her.  After seeing the last of us go off into our adult lives she returned to school in her fifties and became a personal support worker and worked for several years helping others.  Mom was a wonderful cook, canner, camper, quilter and card player.  She cherished her family and her close friends.  She truly enjoyed her lunch–lady friends and her weekly card players.  To the very end she was healthy, happy and felt blessed for her husband and her children and their families.   What a wonderful way to say goodbye.

Family and friends are invited to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E 705-759-2522) on Thursday, November 25, 2021 from 10 am to 11:30 am.  Funeral service to follow at 12 noon.
