At the Sault Area Hospital with his wife by his side on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Susan (nee Platt) for 55 years. Loving father of Terri-Lyn Leclerc (Richard) and Jeff (Laura). His pride and joy were his grandkids Michaela (Tyler), Keegan, Lily, Abbigail, Lucas and little Lily. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Molly and sister Barbara Shuttleworth. Dear brother of Beatrice Tremelling (late Vic), Roy Wing (Evelyn), Sharon Veaudry and Wendy Plackitt (Tony). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Wayne was always hard working. He first job was at the Spudnut Shop before he began his career at the Tube Mill where he worked for over 30 years. His free time was spent with family or on the Wing farm where he grew up.
Family and friends are invited to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522) on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 10 am to 11:30 am. Funeral service to follow at 12 noon. Pastor Mike Michalycia officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Sault Area Hospital Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.
