It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father on Friday, September 30, 2022, at the age of 68. We take comfort in knowing he is now reunited with the love of his life Patricia, who he missed dearly. Cherished father of Tracy Heacock (Ray) and Tim Wilson (Jana Bondar). Adored “Hampa” to his little angel Chanel. Predeceased by his parents Art and Daisy Wilson. Special brother of Judy Sirie (Bill), late Artie and the late Jean. Ken will be missed by his faithful fur baby, Meatball.
Ken was a devoted employee at Algoma Steel and enjoyed his job there for over 40 years, working right up until the point of his illness. He was a big sports fan and could be found cheering on his favourite teams, the Red Wings, and the Tigers. Ken was a special man with a big heart. We are heartbroken to lose him, but we know he is now at peace being with our mother again.
Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow on Wednesday in the Northwood chapel at 10:00 a.m. with Helen Smith officiating. Interment to follow at New Greenwood Cemetery.
