A truck driver and heavy duty mechanic and lifelong resident of Echo Bay and Sault Ste. Marie died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the age of 42.  Ed is survived by his best friend, his love  Sarah Jane Grant, his parents John and Karen, his loving children Rebecca, Rachel and Hayden.  His sister Tricia, nephew Tyr and brother-in-law Sky. Sadly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  The truck driving world and racing family has lost another driver and his fur babies Chelsea and Lily.   Friends are invited to the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522) on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 6 – 9 pm.  Funeral Service in the chapel on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 12 pm.  Mr. George Wright officiating.  Sarah Jane requests in lieu of flowers a donation be made for his children Rebecca, Rachel, daughters of Pamela.  Also Hayden son of Sarah Jane. https://www.gofundme.com/trust-fund-for-children-of-ed-wellw .Ed was born November 21, 1975 to Karen and John Wellwood.  He graduated from Sault College as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic and worked for his family business H. Wellwood & Sons.  Ed was a devoted father, and loved his need for speed.  At any given time you would catch him fixing or making something.  He loved to work on his 1972 Maverick and most of all his dump truck.

Members of the Masonic Lodge are requested to assemble at the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 6 pm for a memorial service for the late Edward Wellwood.
