(May 27, 1954 - September 1, 2018) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Webster at the Thessalon Hospital with family by his side on Saturday September 1, 2018. Don Webster in his 65th year, beloved husband and best friend of Kim for 25 years. Loving father of Ronald of Aurora, Rachel (RJ Degagne) of Thessalon, special to Tracy and Papa to Jamie. Dear son of the late Ross and Jean Webster and son-in-law of Ron and Margaret MacDonald. Dear brother of David Webster (Carolyn) of Richmond Hill and Barbara Millsap of Calgary. Dear brother-in-law of Rick MacDonald (Sandra), Perry MacDonald and Rhonda Stopes. Special brother-in-law to Robin MacDonald, Nancy MacDonald and Jamie Stopes. Special uncle to Benjamin (Georgia), Elizabeth (Nico), Jessica, Jennifer (Tom), Craig (Kirby), Nickette (Kyle), Alyssa, and Darren (Lorna). Special great uncle to Drew, Shaymus, Haley, Parker, Hudson, Asher, Sawyer, Jackson and Charlee.
Don joined the Ontario Provincial Police in 1976, following his Fathers footsteps, and proudly served a dedicated 31 years throughout the Province creating many memories, and friendships with those he served with. Don will be remembered for always putting others first, and doing his best to put a smile on the face of everyone that he met. Don was especially dedicated to his children, and will always be remembered for being their biggest fan.
Friends may call at the Beggs Funeral Home, Thessalon on Thursday September 6, 2018 from 6pm to 9pm for a Celebration of Don’s life. Donations to The Opp Youth Foundation gratefully accepted.
