Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at the age of 98.
Gladys is now reunited with her beloved husband and best friend Clifford Wallwork. Gladys was born July 1, 1924 on St. Joseph Island to Stephen and Ruby Garside. Dear sister of the late Thelma, Jim (Mary Lou), Jean (late Wilf). Special Aunt of Diane (Milton), late Stephen (late Edith), Marlene (Dean), Jim (Anne), late Elgin, Jason, Valerie, Kirk (Jenny), and the late Eric. Gladys will be deeply missed by her friend Linda. Special thank you to her neighbour Sam for his kind friendship. She made an impact on so many lives during her years of being a student and teacher.
At Gladys' request a private family service has taken place and she will be laid to rest with her husband at West Korah Cemetery. She was a proud member of Sault Naturalist; memorial contributions to (payable by cheque or online) to Nature Conservancy of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
