Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the North Shore Health Network in Blind River on Thursday June 20, 2019 at the age of 92. Predeceased by her husband Ludger Viel in 1978 and Pierre Fournier in 2000. Loving mother of Jean-Guy Viel (Edith) of Blind River, Denise Ronholm (Raymond) of Whitney, Nicole Lacourcière (Hector) of Brampton, Gérald Viel (Brenda) of Blind River, Patrice “Pat” Viel of Blind River, Noëlline Viel of Blind River and the late Réjean Viel and Jean-Yves Viel (Patricia) of Kenora. Also survived by 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Family and friends will be received at Paroisse Ste Famille in Blind River on Friday June 28, 2019 from 10 am, until the time of the funeral memorial mass at 12:00 pm. Interment to follow in Hillside Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the North Shore Health Network, Blind River Community Outreach Program would be appreciated by the family.

Épouse bien aimée de feu Ludger Viel en 1978 et Pierre Fournier en l’an 2000. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants, Jean-Guy Viel (Edith) de Blind River, Denise Ronholm (Raymond) de Whitney, Nicole Lacourcière (Hector) de Brampton, Gérald Viel (Brenda), Patrice “Pat” Viel, Noëlline Viel, tous de Blind River et de feu Réjean Viel et Jean-Yves Viel (Patricia) de Kenora. Lui survivent également 17 petits-enfants, 34 arrière petits-enfants et 4 arrière arrière petits-enfants. La famille recevra parents et amis(es) à la Paroisse Ste Famille de Blind River dès 10h00 le vendredi 28 juin 2019, jusqu’à la célébration de la messe funéraire commémorative à 12h00. L’inhumation suivra au cimetière Hillside. Des dons commémoratifs au programme de sensibilisation communautaire du North Shore Health Network de Blind River, seraient grandement appréciés par la famille.
