Thomas Van Scoy passed away after a brief illness, surrounded by his family, at the General Hospital on Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at the age of 81 years. Beloved husband of 55 years of Mignonne Van Scoy. Dear father of Connie Whalen (Francis), Susan Beaton (Richard), Bill (Deborah), Rob (Darlene), Luke (Lorie) and Brian (Joanne). Grampa of Victor, Wendy, Marnie, Craig, Kasey, Ryan, Jeff, Nikki, Kyle, Crystal, Ashley and Michelle. Great Grampa of Jessica, Heather, Chelsea, Tristin, Rilley and Bret. Son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Walter) Van Scoy. Brother of Theda Barber (Douglas), Della Dunne (late William), Kay Yukich (Martin) and predeceased by Isabelle Hounsel (late Murray), Theresa "Bee" Bolton (Chester), Walter and Harry (late Gertrude). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Tom unselfishly served for five years in the R.C.A.F. He survived two plane crashes before returning home to start a family.
