Ida Thomson of Perth passed away peacefully at the Perth and Smith Falls District Hospital at the age of 93 with her family at her bedside on Wednesday, November 13, 2019.

Ida was the loving wife of the late Murray Thomson, cherished mother to Brenda, of Sault Ste. Marie, Terry (Christine), of Echo Bay, and Robert (Joyce), of McDonalds Corners.
Ida was the nurturing grandmother to Brandon, Sara, James, Arden, Barrett, and wonderful great-grandmother to Hayden, Logan and Haleigh.
She was predeceased by her sisters: Joyce Knapp, Jean Wall, Beatrice Loomis and Joan Doull and will be sadly missed by her youngest and only surviving sibling, Margaret James of Smiths Falls.
Respecting Ida’s final wishes, cremation has taken place, with an interment to be held in the spring of 2020.
A memorial service will take place at St. James Anglican Church, 12 Harvey Street, Perth on Tuesday, November 19, at 11:00 A.M. All are invited to celebrate Ida’s wonderful life and are welcome to stay for a reception in the church hall immediately after the service.
Ida’s family would like to sincerely thank the staff of the 2nd floor of the Perth and Smith Falls District Hospital, especially Jessica H. whose warmth, compassion and empathy gave so much comfort to Ida. They would also like to thank the doctors who cared for Ida, Dr. Moxon, Dr. Del Grande and Dr. Dawson.
They would also like to thank Ida’s family of friends at Southview Apartments as well as Scott and Susan.
