Peacefully on Tuesday October 8th, at the Sault Area Hospital in his 90th year.
Cherished husband and best friend of the late Julia Margaret (O’Hara) Thompson. Beloved father of Wendy Bird (Ron), Kathy Eustace (Dan), Michael Thompson (Barbara) and Lynda Groulx (Eric). Predeceased by his parents, Rena and Fred Thompson. Dear brother of the late Margaret Sandvik (late James), Marion Parr (Ron), late Marlene Bolton (late Leonard ) and Patricia Lidstone (Bud). Grandfather of Kerry, Aaron, Derek, Laura, Tara, Michelle, Steven, Thomas, and Emily. Great Grandfather of four.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street E. 705-759-2522) for a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 12 pm. Interment of cremated remains at St. Joseph Cemetery, Richards Landing, 10th Side Road, St. Joseph’s Island. Memorial contributions to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
