Peacefully passed away at the Extendicare Van Daele on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the age of 81. Loving wife of Joe for 63 years. Cherished mother of Carrie Ibbitson (Ed Dunn) and Cindy Spratt. Fun loving grandmother of Melissa, Emily and Kevin. Great grandmother of Valerie and another one on the way. Predeceased by her parents Clifford and Tiny Barber. Daughter-in-law of the late Anthony and Nellie Thachyk. Darlene will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Port Findlay Cemetery on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Memorial contributions to the Desbarats United Church would be appreciated by the family.
