John was referred to as the Polish Prince at Algoma Steel for 35 years, and as JohnBoy by his siblings and in-laws. John was very active in the horse show world. For many years, it was not uncommon for him to make several trips to ensure every competitor & horse got to and from safely. He will be fondly remembered by many at Clear Lake Campgrounds, for his ongoing antics. He could strike up a conversation with great ease and interest with anyone, anywhere. He lived his life with great determination and independence, and one never knew what to expect next from JohnBoy. He was full of surprises and his many quotes will be remembered. He was a skilled dancer and especially enjoyed the polka.
