A man who served so many in his capacity as a Sault Ste. Marie physician, Dr. Taylor passed away peacefully with loving daughters in attendance on May 19, 2020 at the age of 84. A man of wry wit, high intelligence and immense character, Michael Taylor demonstrated the strength and stoicism of many of those who grew up in the time of World War II. Survived by Della Taylor (wife), loving father to Julia Taylor, Sarah Taylor, Tim Taylor (deceased) and Nick Taylor. Loving grandfather to Annabel Paige, Aliana and Neal Taylor. Beloved father-in-law to Michael Paige and Christine Taylor. Son of Leo and Mary Taylor of St. John’s, Newfoundland. Big brother to Irene, Anita, Dennis, Gerald, Bernadette, Mary Elizabeth and Leo (deceased). Dear friends of Gord and Beth Saunders (deceased) and family. Dr. Taylor also previously served as a medical officer in the 49th (Sault Ste. Marie) Field Artillery Regiment RCA last holding the rank of Major. The family wish to thank the dedicated staff at the Sault Area Hospital Intensive Care Unit for their compassionate and excellent care of our father.
