SYRETTE, Ron James

It is with great sadness that the family of Ron James Syrette announce his passing at the Health Sciences North in Sudbury, Ontario on Sunday, October 29, 2017, in his 64th year. He leaves behind his first, and last love, Judy Couchie, his daughters Misty, Shannen, Ronny-Anne, Ariel, and Sarabeth. Ron is predeceased by his mother Victoria Syrette, father Justin Syrette, and son Keenan. He was the dear brother of Liz Jones (late Gordon), the late Marie Perrault, the late Harold Syrette, Sharon Syrette (Ray), Wayne Syrette (Linda), and Allan Syrette (Erin). Ron will be remembered as a strong Anishinabe, proud of his culture and Nation.  He worked hard for the Anishinabek Nation as a Maintenance Custodian and was well liked by all his colleagues. Ron was a true, kind warrior and he will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be fondly remembered for his love for all animals. Immediate family members will be gathering at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd, on Saturday, November 4, 2017 between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Extended family and friends are invited to join in the celebration of life between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the Anishinabek Nation 7 Generation Charity, The North Bay Humane Society, or All Heart Pet Rescue.
