"I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who’s to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?" – John Lennon

Today, our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of our beloved Chris.  Her kind and gentle soul left us too soon, but we will remember her beautiful smile, her infectious sense of humor and love of laughter.  We will miss you Dear little, Sweet little.

After a courageous battle with cancer, Chris left us on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.  Daughter of the late Peter and late Shirley Smith. Chris is survived by her Sisters Lynne Smith and Alissa “Lisa” Smith. She leaves behind her loving boyfriend Tracy VanLandeghem.  Chris will be missed by her many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. She will be fondly remembered by her Aunt Sandra Smith (late Richard) and her Cousins Bob Smith and Jamie Smith (of Windsor, Ontario), Denise Hunter (Rick), Debbie Black (Jim), George Aubrey, Gordon Smith, Brian Charron, Donnie Smith, late Bob Smith and the late Brenda Smith.  She leaves behind all her feathered and furry little friends at camp, where she loved to spend her time.

At Chris’s request there will be no visitation and no funeral service.   A public Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date. We also request that in place of flowers, donations to the Sault Area Hospital - Cancer Care Fund, ARCH Hospice, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated.

"If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever….."

Her family would like to thank the excellent team of healthcare professionals at the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Unit, in particular Dr. Booth, Dr. Lam and Dr. Rassouli as well as the amazing nurses from Paramed who eased Chris’s final days.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522) Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Smith family.
