It is with broken hearts that the family of Cathy regret to announce her unexpected passing on Saturday, December 3, 2022. Loving wife and best friend of George for 57 years. Reunited with her loving mother Elinor Murphy and her beloved eldest daughter, Donna Marie Doiron (Doug). Devoted mother of Verna Muncaster (Tracy), James (Christina) and Brent. Special nana of David Simpson (Alisha), Rebecca Hawthorne (Ryan), Ben Doiron, Amanda Simpson (Dylan), George Simpson Jr., Cory Hooymans (Robin), Victoria Hooymans (Nick), Sarah Devine (Geoff), Ben Muncaster, Sam Muncaster, Reta-Catherine Simpson, Jacob Simpson, Owen Simpson, Cora-Lynn Simpson, Keanna Simpson and Isaac Simpson – who was more like a son than a grandson as Cathy and George raised him from birth. Great nana of 12. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Cathy cherished her family and loved the family holiday gatherings. Everyone enjoyed her homemade buns and butter tarts. Sewing was her passion, and she was happiest at camp on St. Joseph Island.
