Passed away peacefully at Algoma Residential Community Hospice with family by his side on December 12, 2017 at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Jeanne Shields (nee Denis) for 46 years. Loving father of Dan (Erin) and Allan. Proud Grandpa of Lexi, Avery and Michael. Brother of Joy Rae (Dan), late Ruth, and late Don (Dorothy). Predeceased by his parents Reg and Wilma Shields. Brother-in-law of Cecile Mateyka (Jerry), Andreé Tremblay, Raymonde Soby (Dave) and Jo-Ann Johnson (Fred). Allan will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. At Allan’s request cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to a come and go at the Grand Gardens North on Friday, December 15, 2017 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Memorial contributions to Algoma Residential Community Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
