Louise Poulin Shanks passed away peacefully at the Plummer Memorial Hospital on Saturday, April 27, 2002 with her family by her side at the age of 85. Louise was predeceased by her first husband, Louis Poulin and is survived by her loving husband, Allan Shanks. Beloved mother of William (Sue), Bernard (Judy), Lois Lang (Ron), Janice Zurawinski (John) and Kellie Poulin. Cherished stepmother of Calvin (Gloria), and William (Judy). Loving grandmother of 18 and special great-grandmother of 14. Sister of Catherine Langford of Shawigan Lake, B.C., Jessie Hamilton of Thunder Bay and the late Rose Mahoney of Thunder Bay. Friends may call at the Precious Blood Cathedral on Wednesday, May 1 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bernard Burns officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) would be appreciated by the family.
