(December 16, 1931-December 7, 2016) - Passed peacefully surrounded by his family. His strength and courage will be remembered by all who knew him. Kurt was born in Eitkau, Germany to Martha and Otto Schmidt. Brother of Helmut (Jutta), uncle to Harold (Uli) and great uncle to Stephanie and Michael. After coming to Canada in 1952 he met his beloved wife Nancy and they recently celebrated their 60th anniversary. His pride and joy were his children Linda (Robert), his “pipsqueak” Monika (Dwight) and Danny (Tammy). He loved his grandchildren Meghan (Jeremy) and Justin (Heather). He was uncle to Greg Roy. Kurt spent many years with his friends hunting, fishing and loving the great outdoors. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Kurt’s Life at O Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (215 St. James St.), on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
