Peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 24, 2020 at the age of 90 years.
Beloved husband of 60 years to Linda Scarfone. Loving father of Lou-Anne Train (Steve), Maria Tremblay (Richard), Peter Scarfone (Jane) and Toni Terrill (Duane). Proud Grampa and Papa of Sylvan Tremblay (Amanda), Kaitlyn Huber (Scott), Jenna Maas (Harrison), Liam Train (Alison), Jessica Oja (Justin), Sarah Scarfone, Lindsay Terrill and Ryan Terrill. Great Grandfather of Gabriel, Mason, Everett Tremblay, Jordyn Oja and Maverick Huber. Beloved son of the late Tony and Antoinette Scarfone. Dear brother of Rosemarie Toppazzini (late Jerry) and predeceased by Carmine Scarfone (late Joyce) and Eugene Scarfone (late Dora). Son-in-law of the late Edward and Irene Demour. Brother-in-law of Russell Demour (Nancy) and predeceased by Lois Kelly, Ronald Demour (late Betty), Joanne Carlson, Jeannette Jackson (Mike) and Maureen Sirie (late Frank). Peter will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and dear relatives and friends.
One of his passions for many years was sailing with his good friend Ray Stortini on the North Channel in the boat he built. He spent many years perfecting his recipe of homemade wine, sausage and salami with his son and sons-in-law. He had a love for gardening and was proud of his creation every year.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to ARCH would be appreciated by the family.
