It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Françoise Savard (nee Gauthier) on January 20, 2021 at the age of 82 years in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario. Beloved wife of Hector Savard for over 62 years. Cherished mother of Bonita of Alban, Marc (Marie Beaulieu) of Amherstview, and Anne Thomas (Richard) of Alban. Proud grandmother of Roch Thomas (Whitney St-Marseille), Roxanne Thomas, Chantale Chartrand (Emmett) and Mario Savard (Fannie Tousignant) and great-grandmother to Jacob, Jayce and Olivia. Predeceased by her parents, Raoul and Thérèse (née Lortie) Gauthier. Dear sister of Rachel (predeceased), Noëlla Potvin (Roland predeceased), Philippe (Eileen McCarron) both predeceased, Marie-Jeanne Côté (Jean-Claude), Pauline (predeceased), Maurice predeceased (Bernice Mousseau), Gérard (predeceased), Raymond (Kiziah Davis), Richard, Berthe Gauthier (Yves St. Pierre), Gaëtane Dionne (Denis), Rolande Melong (Norman). Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Françoise enjoyed sewing, camping, playing music, attending friend and family gatherings, where she entertained many with her hilarious songs. She was a strong, beautiful and caring person and had an abundance of love for her family. As she approached the end of her journey, she brought a sense of calm and reassurance to her loved ones. Françoise will be greatly missed and will forever remain in our hearts. We wish to thank the staff at Paramed and North East LHIN for their kindness and great care.
