It is with heavy hearts that the Rosset family announces the passing of Pina, surrounded by her family at home, on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the age of 92. She is now reunited in the arms of her beloved husband, Angelo (May 2018). Loving mother to her sons Ivan (Nancy) and John (Rita). Proud and cherished Nonna of Shannon, Alisha (Peter), Catrina (Christopher) and Eric (Viviam). Predeceased by her parents Antonio and Annunziata D’Orazio and siblings Bianca (Guilermo), Giovanni (Michelina) and Gina (Nicola). Survived by her siblings Anna (Lemmo) and Cosimo (Rina). She will be fondly remembered by her many friends and extended family.

Born in Persano, Italy, Pina’s marriage and immigration journey to Canada was that of a strong woman. Pina and Angelo were married by proxy in 1955, and two years later, Pina immigrated to Canada to be united with her husband. After the birth of her sons, she began working at the General Hospital and built life-long friendships through membership in many communities and clubs, such as the Electra Marconi Society, the Catholic Women’s League of Canada, Fogolar Furlan Club, Daughters of Isabella, and she was an active member of St. Gregory’s Parish. Pina will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family, friends and faith, her elegant style, fantastic bocce skills and her amazing cooking.
