Passed away at Centennial Manor in Iroquois Falls on the Saturday, March 31, 2018. He was 63. He always had a smile for everyone and a wide social network. Paddy, who had Down’s Syndrome, worked at SooGoma through Community Living Algoma and was very proud to be in the work force as a baker, printing press operator, pizza shop employee and cafeteria worker. He sang in the choir at Good Council Church for decades. He enjoyed going to the movies, WWF wrestling & socializing. He was an avid Special Olympian in track & field, bowling and field hockey. Patrick was a valued member his supportive family in Iroquois Falls and will be deeply missed by Tammy and Bill Robinson, and their 3 children Seth, Jonah and Maize. Paddy, the youngest son of Charles and Ethyl (nee Fry) Rooney, is predeceased by his sisters Patricia and Mary Katherine (Tony Wennikers) and brother Joe (Ann nee Mahl). He is survived by his sister Geraldine (Rollie) MacLeod and brother Mickey (Madelaine) Rooney. He will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews. A commitment ceremony will be held at the graveside in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Saturday June 23, 2018 at 11am, meeting at the cemetery chapel before proceeding to the site. Donations to Community Living Algoma would be preferred in lieu of flowers.
