It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Regina. Regina was born in Chapleau, Ontario and spent time travelling to Sault Ste. Marie where she caught the eye of her loving husband, Wayne. Regina loved doting on her family and spending time with her two sons Jeff Richards (Jenny) and Lance Richards (Julia) along with her grandchildren, Liam, Lincoln, Lennon and Tiffany and great grandchildren Mikaila, Preston and Riley.
She would often be found at Country Style with Wayne and her beloved mother, the late Melanie Lavoie, enjoying the evening with a cup of tea and loving conversation. Her smile and sweet nature will be missed but remembered fondly. She was a beautiful soul whom everyone adored. She was often more concerned for others and knowing her left you truly blessed. She thoroughly enjoyed music, dancing and family get togethers where she soaked in time spent together. Predeceased by her parents, Melanie and Emile Lavoie as well as two sisters, Rita Lavoie and Elizabeth Lavoie and is lovingly remembered by her sister Tonie Stevens (Jim) and her brother Rene Lavoie (Darcy), sister in law Sharon Morgan (Bob), brother-in-law Marshall Richards (Gillan), and brother in law Murray Richards (Sylvia) as well as her mother-in-law, Evelyn Richards and predeceased by her father-in-law Raymond Richards. Several nieces and nephews will miss her loving nature. A special thank you to Regina’s doctors and care givers for their empathetic care and wonderful compassion.
In keeping with Regina’s wishes, cremation will take place and a private interment will occur at a later date. As expressions of sympathy a donation (payable by cheque or online) to the Sault Ste.
