Peacefully at the Plummer Memorial Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer with family by his side on Thursday, October 7, 2004 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of the late Jean Reid (Davidson). Cherished father of Jim (Mary) of Brampton, Randy (Linda), Terry (Elaine), Dan (Bev), Frank (Karen) and Kevin (Elaine) all of Sault Ste. Marie. Proud grandfather of 18 and great grandfather of 10. Son of the late Joshua and Annie Reid. Dear friend and companion of Mona Doan. Brother of Mona Scanlon (Frank) and the late Lorna Kendrick (late Jack). Brother-in-law of the late Ellen Inzer (late Bus), late Ed Davidson (Marg), Viola Missere (late Norbert), late Don Davidson (late Teresa), Dorothy Missere (late Joe) and the late Herb Davidson (late Doris) (late Lenora). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 from 6-9 pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at 11 am. Rev. Larry Burton officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Cancer Clinic or the Elks Oncology Van would be appreciated by the family.
