REDMOND, Barbara

Posted

It is with great sadness to announce the peaceful passing of Barbara, who was in the arms of her daughter on Saturday March 17, 2018 in her 85th year, at home.  Reunited with the love of her life, the late Garry Redmond.  Predeceased by her mother Isabelle Pyykonen (Dida).  Loving mother of Michael Redmond (Laurie) and Velvet Redmond-Harten (Greg).  A very cherished grandmother (Bobo) to her two grand-daughters Kelseigh Harten, Aryanna Harten and grandson Kris Brydges (Karen).  Sister of Francine Thomas (Reg), Peter Pyykonen (Toni) and Kim Pyykonen (Judy).  Special cousin to Diane Billingsley, who looked up to her as a big sister.  Barbara is remembered as being a very strong, determined, loving, and golden lady.  Her granddaughters were her world and will forever be looking over them from above.  A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Resting place will be an Interment Greenwood Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations sent to the juvenice Diabetes Association or to Arch would be appreciated.  The family would like to thank Laurie for her support during this difficult time, Dr. Karen Booth, Dr. Pauline Bragaglia, Home Instead Senior Care, and special thanks to the Bay Shore Nurses: Jennifer, Mari-Anne and Susie for your care and great compassion shown to Barbara and the entire family.  (Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel – 492 Wellington St. E. – 705-759-2522.)

Bobo until we meet again,

Those special memories of you
will always bring a smile
if only I could have you back
for just a little while
Then we could sit and talk again
Just like we used to do
you always meant the world to me
and always will
The fact that you’re no longer here
will always cause me pain
but you’re forever in my heart
until we meet again.

xoxo
