RANKIN, John Alfred (Sonny)

Passed away peacefully at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the age of 80, surrounded by his family. Dear husband of the late Ida Margaret (May 15, 1999). Beloved and fun-loving father of Betty-Lou Livingston (Jim), John (Nancy), Dolores Winter (Richard), Mary Ann Rankin (Mark White), Albert (Rhonda McGonegal), Ellen Rose Brandow (Phillip), Lee Anne Rankin-Greene (Gilbert), Kathy-Jo Bews (Jon) and Scott (Brenda). Proud Papa of 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  John will be missed by his many brothers and sisters. John is survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 6-9 pm. Funeral Mass to be celebrated from St. Gregory’s Catholic Church on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11 am. Rev. Trevor Scarfone officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
