QUARRELL, Robert Charles

72, passed away peacefully at Freeport Health Centre Sunday, May 9, 2004. Bob was predeceased by his beloved wife Betty, May 4, 1999, his parents Bill and Caroline and his brother Billy. Loving father of Linda Skornyak and Donald Maltais, Wawa; Paul and Sharon Leblanc, Kitchener; and Phil and Lauraine Leblanc, Sacramento, Calif. Most special grandfather to Mary-Louise and David Heideman, Pam and Jason Swan, and Stephen and Kelly Leblanc, and “great-grampa” to seven great-grandsons: Cameron, Christian, Joel, Cory, Nicholas, Ryan and Drew. Dear brother of Dawn Rutland and her husband Alfie, Wawa, and Helen Paim and her husband Tony, St. Joseph Island. He is also fondly remembered by his uncle, David Quarrell and his wife Marguerite, Sault Ste. Marie, and goddaughter Linda Simon and her husband John, Wawa, and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa St., on Wednesday May 12, 2004 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday May 13, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family and can be arranged through the funeral home (519) 743-8900.
