Family is mourning the loss of Esther Anne Pyne. Daughter of the late Lester and Blanche Provencher. Born Dec. 26, 1925, passed away Nov. 26, 2017 at Golden Birches in Blind River. Esther was married to Paul "Lefty" Volk of Galion, Ohio, Stanley Pyne of Sudbury Ontario, and John Grudzinsky of Elliot Lake, Ontario, all pre-deceased. Esther is survived by 5 children; John McCullough (Susan) of Englend, Paulette Frederick (John), Dan Volk (Deanna) , Patrick Volk (Marlene) all of Galion, Ohio, and Philip Volk (Diana) of Alaska. Esther was Step mother to: Nina and Tommy Pyne, Wayne and Murray Grudzinsky. She has numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sister of: Late Beatrice Miller, Alfred "Freddie" Provencher, Flora Rozoff, Claire Kneen , John Provencher, Philip Provencher, Marguerite Laderoute/ Girard, Paul Provencher and Eileen Peloso. Surviving are Henry (Mary), Eugene, Tom Provencher (Anne Marie) and numerous nieces and nephews. Esther loved to play bridge, play the piano/compose music, and her greatest love was to cook and entertain for friends and strangers. Memorial service to be announced at a future date. The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful care givers who took care of her the past few years, especially Mike Dickson, Helen Nicholas, and Dao Curle.
